We are pleased to announce that we have successfully renewed our Cyber Essentials certification for the second year running.
Launched in June 2014, Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks.
Organisations are assessed and certified against the cyber security standard which identifies the security controls that must be implemented within IT systems to mitigate the risk from Internet-based threats.
Adrian Brown, Director at My School Portal says: “This is an important accreditation for My School Portal as we take the security of data very seriously. Reports of hacking attempts and security breaches across organisations are becoming ever more commonplace and cyber security is now a major concern for schools. The GDPR (coming into force in May 2018) is set to have significant implications for cyber security.
This standard gives schools confidence in the integrity of our systems and assurance that we have taken all the necessary steps to keep our systems and data safe.”
