We are delighted to announce that we have successfully trademarked My School Portal.
Launched three years ago, My School Portal was developed in close collaboration with some of the UK’s leading Independent Schools, including Rugby and Eton. It is now used by more than 70 Independent Schools across the UK to facilitate secure information exchange between schools and parents.
Parents benefit from secure, online, 24-hour access to personalised data for their children including school emails, timetables, reports, events/visits, all in one place and accessible from a smartphone, tablet or desktop device.
When we launched My School Portal we knew we had a good product, but its success has exceeded all of our expectations. From the very outset we challenged ourselves to develop a unique and unparalleled product for launch into a very competitive market.
My School Portal addresses not just the communication and administrational challenges that schools face, but also a lot of the data protection issues that come with managing and storing personal information about students, which from May 25 2018 will take on even greater significance with the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The move to a more secure online platform for parents removes the risk of personal data breaches and supports the safeguarding of students.
Securing the registered trademark for My School Portal® should give confidence to our existing and new customers that they’re using a reputable, market leading solution. It makes us easily recognisable against our competitors and demonstrates our commitment to making My School Portal the go-to parent portal. Excitingly, further investment is planned in product development to enable new features, so watch this space for announcements!
